This project, called “House of Light,” is located on the southern shore of Choctawhatchee Bay in Santa Rosa Beach in the panhandle of northwest Florida. The client, who is a developer, wanted to offer a luxury waterfront home to appeal to a discerning clientele. To achieve this, the developer wanted the home to reflect a Modern Farmhouse architectural style, which is a distinct and sophisticated style that would be complementary to a waterfront setting, but not commonly found in this region of the country. The large bay-front site allowed for a generous four-bedroom home with a home gym, expansive living areas, a separate one-bedroom carriage house apartment above a three-car garage, a pickleball court, a bocce ball court, and a large pool complex with a pool house overlooking a large activity lawn.
The home features a Modern Farmhouse architectural style, blending traditional rustic silhouettes with sleek, modern detailing.
