Forest Street Cottage

The owners of a small existing cottage located in charming Seaside, Florida—the world’s first new urbanist community—came to Burwell Associates to give new life to their second home. Originally built in the mid-eighties, the existing two-bedroom Charleston single house cottage was in need of an exterior refresh, and the owners wanted to add onto the home to prepare for their future family legacy in the golden years of their lives. The reimagined design culminated in adding an open living space to enjoy family gatherings, two bedrooms, a study, and two-and-half baths in a well-thought-out plan with a logical and airy circulation flow.
